Front Door’s real estate ninjas are all vetted before they are matched with any of our clients. We make sure they have sold multiple properties in your area, are knowledgeable and have good reviews. All of the agent’s contact information will be automatically populated to you once you have completed your profile. You can expect to be matched with your agent within minutes and hearing from them within 24hrs of finalizing your account. If for some reason you do not like your real estate ninja you be re-matched or cancel, with no additional fees.
No. You never sign a contract with FrontDoor. We are an online marketplace and our job is to connect you with a great agent who follows our guidelines. You may sign a contract with your real estate ninja when you make an offer or list a home. Typically, contracts are on a 3 month to 6 month agreement.
You will not be charged if you cancel a service before the agent begins working. You may cancel or terminate the listing agreement at anytime during the sell. However, if you have accepted an offer with a ready willing and able buyer and you decide you do not want to sell for no apparent reason – you, the seller, are still liable for the flat $2500 fee and could possibly be held liable for the buyer agent commission.
There are separate closing cost fees that can occur from home inspectors, appraisers, loan fees, real estate attorneys, title companies, etc. These fees are not included in the real estate agent service fees. Paying various closing costs will occur rather or not you use Front Door.
For sellers, simply create your free account and tell us some details regarding your home. You will then be matched with a qualified real estate agent, who is local to your area and ready to sell your home for a flat $2500 fee that is paid at closing. Your dashboard will include all your agent’s information, the listing agreement, copy of MLS printout and inform you of what stage of the home selling process you are in. You will have additional professional services at your fingertips as well. All complimentary with your free account.

Our agents have a high success rate. The average time on market is 30 days but we have had homes sell as fast as 3 days. All of our agents are experienced, licensed, and affiliated with a local brokerage. The biggest factor in determining time on market is list price and condition. We recommend that you get a professional price opinion to help set the best price.
No. Agents cannot blackball your listing with Front Door. It is illegal and doing so would put an agent’s license in jeopardy. It is impossible to distinguish a Front Door listing from a non-Front Door listing because Front Door is a marketplace of agents from all different companies. You are not listing your home with Front Door but with an agent who is affiliated with a local brokerage.
Front Door is an online real estate marketplace, although we are licensed, we do not have ‘Front Door Agents’ with our brand. When you list your home with Front Door, you are listing with a local brokerage. Therefore the branding on the for sale sign and MLS listing will be from your agent’s company, not from Front Door.
Offering a buyer agent commission is what incentivizes the buyer agents to bring their buyers to your home. When your home is placed in MLS it pings out to all the buyer agents and all the buyer agent’s clients they have may setup auto email notifications to, who are looking to purchase in your area. For this, we recommend offering the typical amount of 2.5% – 3% to a buyer’s agent / any cooperating agent who may bring the buyer to purchase your home.
You pay a small flat listing fee of $2,500 to have an agent fully represent you and sell your home. To compare, the traditional way would be 3% of the sale price with a typical commissioned agent ($10,500 listing commission on a $350,000 priced home).
In addition, you will still need to offer a cooperating buyer agent up to 2.5% – 3% of the sale price to incentivize them to bring their buyers.
This is not a for sale by owner platform. Nor is this a flat fee MLS service. This is a full service real estate platform. You will receive full agent representation, virtually the same service you would get from a typical commissioned agent. There is no penalty or obligation if your home doesn’t sell. If your home goes under contract but should fail to close, then nothing is owned and you may place your home back on the market with no additional fee. If your contract expires, then you may renew, take your home off the market or hire another agent.
You will sign a 3-6 month listing contract with your agent. It can be cancelled at any time with no further obligation, no questions asked. There is no penalty or fee to cancel. Therefore, you have total flexibility. Following a cancellation, you are free to sell it yourself or re-list with a different agent immediately.
With respect to marketing, your agent will list your property in the local multiple listing system (MLS) and generate comprehensive internet exposure on zillow, realtor.com, and all the rest. This will expose your home to 100% of the buyers in the marketplace. On top of that Front Door uses their 2017 marketing technologies to back the agent’s marketing and further boost your homes exposure.
All showings are scheduled through your real estate agent that will handle according to your needs. If you should need a 24hr notice, 2hr notice, have an alarm or pets on the property – please tell us when you create your account. Your agent will notify you of all showing request and will not accept a showing request without you giving them greenlight to show first.
If you and your agent execute an agency agreement, it will be specific to the service you requested and you and your agent will determine an appropriate duration of the contract. It can be cancelled at any time, no questions asked, without further obligation, penalty or fee. So, you will maintain total flexibility. Our buyer agents work for you, for free.
